uPVC Bays and Bows

uPVC Bay and uPVC Bow Windows are attractive features that can be added to any property and they can make a huge difference to the feel of a room, making it seem much larger and brighter. Alexander Windows uPVC Bay Windows and uPVC Bow Windows are constructed using standard window frames which are connected using structural bay pole assemblies. Bay Windows use reinforced corner posts to achieve the sturdiness required. The external cill, which the frames sit on, is welded together and polished smooth to create one continuous cill below all the frames.

uPVC Bay Windows – Conversions

We can create uPVC Bay Windows or uPVC Bow Windows from an existing flat window. To create a uPVC Bay Window (with brickwork below) we construct a new internal window cill which extends out from the building line. This is supported underneath by Traditional timber gallows brackets. We then construct a new canopy to sit above the frames with a new insulated timber and scalloped lead roof.

Architectural uPVC Bow Canopies

An alternative to a timber and lead roof is to use a GRP bow canopy with an intergraded ceiling. This has attractive external dental moulding and a high gloss finish. Our uPVC Bow Canopies are manufactured in a set range of sizes, which may have some design constraints depending on the size of your existing window. Bow Canopies are available in White, Brown and Light Brown.
