The Alexander Windows range and display of Rockdoor Composite Doors is the largest in the UK. Rockdoor Composite Doors are created around a steel subframe encased by ridgid high impact 3mm thick exterior skins and protected by exclusive heatshield technology. This frame is then willed with special expanding foam under pressure which fills the interior and sets rock hard, filling all the crevices as it does so. The woodgrain embossed outer skins give the overall look and feel of a solid slab traditional timber door.
Alexander Windows can now offer coloured Rockdoor composite door outer skins. Choose from Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Emerald Green and Anthracite Grey, as well as our original options of Rosewood and Golden Oak. The woodgrains are available on one side only or both sides if required and are mounted into a woodgrain outer frame. The coloured Rockdoor doors are mounted into a white outer frame, the contrast of which brings out the rich colours of the doors. In addition to being PAS 23 and PAS 24, all of our Rockdoor Doors are Secured by Design too. This means that the design of the Composite door has been approved to Official Police standards.

Twenty four stable doors have been supplied for a number of stations on the coastline for phase one of an ongoing project.

The project required high security stable doors for lifeguards on duty, yet flexibility was needed to enable public access in the event of an emergency. The doors needed to offer protection from extreme weather conditions, either hot temperatures or wet and windy conditions. Mark Simm, sales director at Rockdoor said: “Doors from our range have been installed in a wide variety of locations from Lighthouses and Life Guard Stations to more familiar projects including Barn Conversions and Terraced Houses which clearly demonstrates the scope, reliability and appeal of Rockdoor”.
Sales and Marketing Director at Alexander Windows, Richard Robinson says, “Yet another example of how tough and rugged these products are, coping with huge extremes of heat and cold in its yearly cycle. We are proud to have the largest display of RockDoors in Europe at our Stockport showroom.”
