What is a Lifetime Warranty?
The Company guarantees for the period that you, the original customer, remain in occupation of the installation address, to replace or repair any of our Kömmerling frames which proves defective due to yellowing, faulty workmanship, faulty materials or corrosion for as long as you live. Naturally, this guarantee does not cover accidental damage or natural weathering and tarnishing of furniture, but does include locking mechanisms, hinges and double glazed units (due to their nature, encapsulated units, plumbing and all electrical work have a 12 month guarantee although all building work and conservatory roofs still enjoy a full 10 year warranty). If you decide to move house within the first 10 years then you can still transfer the balance of that 10 year period to the purchaser of your home.

The Connoisseur range features a traditional, sculptured profile called "ovolo" that curves gently into the glass. It's a style that's more in keeping with the period housing in the local area than the modern, angular styles that have become so popular. Designed, manufactured and tested to the most stringent standards, the Connoisseur range provides the perfect solution for those customers who want to preserve the character of their home.

Instead of the usual black or white gaskets that form the weather-proof seals, a new silver equivalent has been developed to give much more attractive sight lines and to ensure that the fittings never look tired or grubby. It gets away from black sight lines and is a more attractive finish. It's also unique to Alexander Windows in this area.
Going Green
There's also another great reason for choosing the Connoisseur range, it's eco-friendly too. Unlike many cheaper systems that use lead stabilisers, these new windows are made using Calcium Zinc (CaZn).
It's an ingredient that will help them to retain a beautiful silk sheen far longer than other window systems and with much less impact on the environment.
